We offer programmes for students at different stages of their learning in partnership with the University of Roehampton.
Pathway programmes are available for International students who need additional support to study undergraduate and postgraduate degrees with Roehampton. These programmes are all taught on-campus at the University’s campus in South West London. A suite of 3 and 4 year Business and Computing undergraduate degrees are delivered at our teaching locations in central London, Birmingham and Manchester. The programmes are validated by the University of Roehampton and taught by QA Higher Education staff.

The building is located between the hustle and bustle of London’s financial district and the buzz of the West End. It’s close to many cafes, bars and restaurants that are always popular with our students. Within the building, the library offers a quiet, reflective area for study. The student area provides a social space. With free WiFi and comfy sofas it is the perfect place for students to unwind. Just down the road at 7-15 Rosebery Avenue is our Student Hub. Split across 2 floors, it has been decked out with the 21st century learner in mind, equipped with modern technology and furnishings to give students a relaxed and informal space to study and socialise in. Students studying one of the Pathway programmes will be taught at the University of Roehampton’s London Campus, set within 54 acres of beautiful grounds, including parkland, woods, and lakes, near central London.
The Campus boasts excellent sports facilities and social spaces and is a popular place to live and study among students.
Students can also take advantage of the London transport network and be in central London within 30 minutes, benefiting from the huge array of culture, entertainment and leisure opportunities the UK’s capital city offers.

Positioned just minutes away from Manchester’s Oxford Road Station, our Manchester Centre is embedded within the city’s thriving community. Such a central location provides students with an excellent opportunity to take advantage of one of the country’s fast growing business communities. Classes take place in one of QA’s refurbished spaces to offer a state-of-the-art learning environment with modern facilities. The Centre is conveniently located near many key transport links that assist students with getting to and from the campus. The city’s excellent tram and bus network run close to the building as well as Manchester Piccadilly station, offering train services across the UK. The city is a hive of activity and there is something to suit everyone. From theatres, art galleries and museums, to restaurants and coffee shops, Manchester is an exciting place to study.

This location benefits from being right in the heart of Birmingham, a stone’s throw away from Birmingham New Street train station and the Bullring, one of the largest shopping centres in the UK. Within this intimate learning environment, students can easily focus on work with the resources available to them. We offer a quiet learning space in our library complete with a suite of computers to give students the tools to catch up on coursework. Between lectures, students are able to take advantage of the social spaces on offer and relax with friends inside the building, or heading out in to the city centre and its wealth of attractions.

In Year 1, you will acquire a greater understanding of the core principles in business management. Specifically designed to address the issues of the modern business environment. Example modules for Year 1 include: Business Organisations & Environment in a Global Context, Understanding Self & Others, Introduction to Finance & Accounting for Managers, Introduction to Management, Principles of Marketing & Communications in a Digital World, and Analysing Information & Data for Problem Solving.
In Year 2, you will be given the opportunity to undertake modules that examine key business management approaches alongside key principles, theories and techniques. Modules studied in Year 2 are likely to include: Managing People & Careers, Operations, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Entrepreneurship Opportunity, Project Management, Cross-Cultural Management, and Retail Theory and Practice.
In your final year, you will be given the chance to work on a business project. Modules studied are likely to include: Business Ethics & Responsible Management, Business & Management Dissertation 1, Entrepreneurship Development, Applied Corporate Strategy, Managing Innovation, and Business & Management Dissertation 2.
You will be taught through a range of teaching methods, including lectures and seminars, around 12 hours per week. You are also expected to engage in independent study, around 38 hours a week.
You will be assessed through coursework and exams.
To prepare for your lectures and seminars, you will have access to our online learning portal, Moodle, where you can access course information, content and your weekly reading lists.

The foundation year (Year 0) is carefully designed to provide the subject specific knowledge and the academic study skills that are essential for success. In this first year of your programme you will be introduced to the major aspects of both profit and not for profit organisations, studying these alongside other modules such as: Mathematical Functional Skills Essentials and English Academic Skills.
In Year 1, you will acquire a greater understanding of the core principles in business management, specifically designed to address the issues of the modern business environment. Example modules studied in Year 1 include: Business Organisations & Environment in a Global Context, Understanding Self & Others, Introduction to Finance & Accounting for Managers, Introduction to Management, Principles of Marketing & Communications in a Digital World, and Analysing Information & Data for Problem Solving.

In the first year students will be introduced to a number of key principles and concepts in computing technologies, these include Maths and Algorithms, Systems Analysis and Design, Data Modelling and SQL Language and Web Development.
Year 2 will see students introduced to a range of specific topics, developing their understanding of particular systems such as mobile technologies, cloud computing and big data, as well as build a foundation in the industry critical issues of computer security and data analytics.
In the final year students are given the opportunity to design, plan and complete a substantial piece of independent research and development work that requires students to develop a solution to a significant computing problem. In this year, students will also develop industry critical skills in Cyber Security and Project Management and Professional Issues, leaving graduates of this programme with the transferable skills and experience required to secure a variety of roles. You will be taught through a range of teaching methods, including lectures, seminars, workshops and labs, around 12 hours per week. You are also expected to engage in independent study, around 35-38 hours a week.
You will be assessed via coursework (both individual and group), class tests, practical assessments and exams.

In Year 2, you will you will be introduced to mobile technologies, further aspects of networking, UX design, cloud computing, the foundations of computer security and data analytics. Example modules studied in Year 2 include: Mobile App Design and Development, User Experience Design, Network Design and Troubleshooting, Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics and Web Application Security.
In your final year, you will be given the opportunity to conduct a substantial piece of independent research and development work using appropriate software engineering process models. Modules studied in your final year are likely to include: Dissertation (Major Computing Project), Cyber Security, Project Management and Professional Issues, Data Science, and Designing and Developing Products for the Internet of Everything (IoE).
You will be taught through a range of teaching methods, including lectures, seminars, workshops and labs, around 12 hours per week. You are also expected to engage in independent study, around 35-38 hours a week.
You will be assessed via coursework (both individual and group), class tests, practical assessments and exams.
