Middlesex University’s Centres in London Holborn, Birmingham and Manchester are delivered in partnership between the University and QA Higher Education.
Students can choose to study undergraduate degrees in Business with a Healthcare specialism, or Business Accounting at centrally located teaching centres. These degrees are offered as both traditional 3 year programmes or with the addition of an initial foundation year for added study and academic support. For students who need to fit study around any existing commitments, choose between daytime, and evening and weekend class timetables.

The building is located between the hustle and bustle of London’s financial district and the buzz of the West End. This location benefits from being right in the heart of Birmingham, a stone’s throw away from Birmingham New Street train station and the Bullring, one of the largest shopping centres in the UK. Within this intimate learning environment, students can easily focus on work with the resources available to them. We offer a quiet learning space in our library complete with a suite of computers to give students the tools to catch up on coursework. Between lectures, students are able to take advantage of the social spaces on offer and relax with friends inside the building, or heading out in to the city centre and its wealth of attractions.

Positioned just minutes away from Manchester’s Oxford Road Station, our Manchester Centre is embedded within the city’s thriving community. Such a central location provides students with an excellent opportunity to take advantage of one of the country’s fast growing business communities. Classes take place in one of QA’s refurbished spaces to offer a state-of-the-art learning environment with modern facilities. The Centre is conveniently located near many key transport links that assist students with getting to and from the campus. The city’s excellent tram and bus network run close to the building as well as Manchester Piccadilly station, offering train services across the UK. During this programme you will gain expert understanding in a number of business areas, including business finance, management, marketing and operations management, designed to help lay the foundations of a successful management career. Modules contained within the degree will also help you to develop the entrepreneurial skills needed if you found and run your own business.
Pathway specific modules allow you to prepare for a career in healthcare management. These modules introduce you to the provision of healthcare and the different forms this can take, together with exploring how it should be funded. You will then have an opportunity to explore effective management and leadership in a healthcare context, together with exploring how to be entrepreneurial.

The BSc (Hons) Business Accounting programme is designed to provide you with the appreciation of, and insight into, the role of accounting in the context of business governance, project management and accounting information systems. Throughout your studies you will build your knowledge and understanding of the conceptual and practical aspects of accounting, providing a foundation for further study or professional development depending on your chosen career path.
In your first year, you will study 6 compulsory modules which are designed to give a solid grounding in the subject area of accounting and prepare you for a more detailed exploration of the subject in your second year.
In the second and final year, you will be required to devote more time to ethics, governance and controversial accounting principles. You will study accounting rules and apply accounting skills. There is more emphasis on discussion, critical evaluation, reflection and anticipation of likely future developments in accounting.

The BSc (Hons) Business Accounting with Foundation Year offers an accessible route into an accountancy-based degree programme at the same time as offering significant professional exemption on graduation. The programme offers you the opportunity to gain both a solid grounding in accountancy at the same time as being able to gain additional understanding of other business functions.
The Foundation Year is designed to be a launch pad for assisting your further studies and to boost your knowledge and skills so you are up-to-speed and ready to meet the challenges of a the main degree (Year Two – Year Four). This year is also ideal for those who have perhaps been out of study for a while or need to gain more confidence in their own abilities.
